soloSicily, the Sicilian villa specialist, has introduced an elegant new villa located just outside Marsala on Sicily’s western coast.
Set in a secluded location surrounded by vines, Villa Salina has been beautifully restored and blends modern style with traditional ambience. The villa’s expansive outdoor space has a swimming pool with sun loungers and a barbecue area. A chic veranda offers a shady retreat, where guests can unwind on comfortable sofas or enjoy leisurely alfresco meals at a large dining table. There is also an outdoor shower and ping-pong table.
Sleeping up to 10, the villa’s interior is stylishly decorated with authentic touches such as pretty Sicilian floor tiles. On the ground floor are two double bedrooms – one of which is ensuite and has garden access – and a main bathroom, along with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and sitting-room with fireplace and television.
Upstairs on the first floor is another seating area with access to a terrace, where guests can enjoy beautiful sunsets. There are also three further double bedrooms – one is ensuite, while the other two share another large bathroom with shower.
The nearest shops and restaurants are just a five-minute drive, while the nearest beach is a 15-minute drive away.
Western Sicily has a rich wine culture and guests can visit nearby Marsala to try its famous sweet wine. The beautiful Aegadian Islands can be easily reached on a day-trip from Trapani, while Stagnone Nature Reserve is a protected area known for its dramatic salt-pans which are best viewed at sunset.
Prices for Villa Salina range from £1,590 (1,800 euros) per week in the low season to £3,754 (4,200 euros) per week in the high season for 10 people. Palermo airport is just over an hour’s drive away.
soloSicily can arrange many additional services, including cooking lessons, wine tours and tastings, boat trips, car rental and airport transfers.
