Lefay Resorts Expands Choice of Communal Wellness Sessions

Recognising that Social Connection is an Essential Pillar of Health

As consumers increasingly seek meaningful connection alongside personal wellbeing, communal wellness is emerging as one of the defining trends shaping the spa and wellness sector. Moving beyond solitary treatments and individual fitness goals, today’s wellness travellers are embracing shared experiences that foster connection. From complimentary group mindful movement practices to communal fitness sessions, Lefay Resorts, the award winning eco spa resorts in Italy, are encouraging collective wellbeing among its guests and expanding the choice of group activities on offer. This shift reflects a growing recognition that social connection is an essential pillar of health.

Lefay Resort & SPA on Lake Garda is introducing emotional dance to its schedule of complimentary group activities. Combining music, mindfulness and free-flowing dance, this guided movement experience encourages processing of emotions through intuitive movement rather than words. It offers a liberating and joyful way to release tension, reconnect with the body and cultivate emotional balance.

Other complimentary holistic group sessions include Qi Gong, guided breath work and stretching the meridians – all practiced overlooking Lake Garda. They also offer Aufguss in the 90 degree C Finnish panoramic sauna, where the sauna master smashes balls of ice infused with aniseed and eucalyptus onto the stove and wafts the scents around the sauna to an uplifting soundtrack.

At Lefay Resort & SPA Dolomiti in the Italian Alps, they have introduced a new communal cold experience, which includes focused breathing exercises performed while standing on ice, a barefoot walk through the resort’s gardens, a Kneipp path, where alternating warm and cold water stimulates the peripheral cardiovascular and lymphatic systems and an invigorating ice scrub and cold plunge. The cold experience takes place first thing in the morning and helps to reduce stress, release endorphins and lower cortisol levels.

Other complimentary group activities include sauna stretching and healthy spine exercise sessions within the resort, as well as e-biking and guided morning hikes in the surrounding UNESCO World Heritage-listed Dolomites.

Lefay Resort & SPA Lago di Garda is located within 27 acres of woodland and olive groves in the Alto Garda National Park, high above the lake. The spa features indoor and outdoor pools, an infinity lap pool, seven saunas of different temperatures and levels of humidity, whirlpools, a salt water floatation lake and an adult only spa area.

The 5000 sqm spa at Lefay Resort & SPA Dolomiti is one of the largest in the Alps with multiple saunas, steam rooms, an ice plunge pool and a salt lake as well as over 20 treatment rooms and indoor/outdoor pools with views of the mountains.

Both resorts embody Lefay’s philosophy of sustainable luxury and holistic wellbeing, blending the principles of Classical Chinese Medicine with modern scientific research.
